Custom Planning

Thickness planing to your exact specifications is charged on a lineal foot basis at a rate of $.11 per pass through the planner . There is a $5.00 minimum charge and quantity price breaks do apply as follows:

Custom Ripping

Ripping to specified widths is carried out on our power rip saw. This work is charged at a rate $.11 per lineal foot . Once again there is a $5.00 minimum charge and price breaks do apply as follows:

Custom Molding

Have your own wood suitable for any type of interior finish molding?. Choose from any of our over 200 ready made molding profiles and let us run your moldings from your lumber. This work includes all preparation and milling required to produce the finished product. Your molding is prepared at a lineal foot rate of $.25 with a minimum $30.00 charge applicable. Price breaks do apply as follows:

Custom Flooring

Have your own wood or know where you can get wood at a reasonable price? We’ll make you a solid plank floor from most any species. Your new floor is prepared at a rate of $.30 per lineal foot with a minimum charge of $30.00. Price breaks do apply as follows:

Kiln Drying

For softwood lumber species only our 40000 board foot dehumidifying kiln will quickly and efficently dry your lumber to the same exacting standards required for our in-house molding production.Prices include all stick piling , drying and downpiling costs. Our price for drying all quantities under 1000 board feet is $350.00. There is a $350.00 minimum charge. Price breaks do apply as follows:

Custom Knife Grinding

Need to match an existing molding and can’t find anything close. All we need is a picture or a small peice of your molding and we can reproduce your profile exactly. The charge for knife grinding is based on the nominal inches of molding profile. For example if you wanted to reproduce a 51/4’ molding we would charge on the basis of 6". The rate per nominal inch of molding profile is $25.00.

On completion you will own your knives.

Carbide Tip Sawblade Sharpening

Save the expense of replacing high quality carbide saw blades and the frustration of working with inexpensive poor quality "throw away blades". Sharpening is charged at a rate of $.20 per tooth.

Planer Blade Sharpening

We have the equpment and expertise to professionally hone most planer blades. Due to the variaton in the makeup of blades this work is charged at a rate of $40.00 per hour with a $20.00 minimum charge.

Edgebanding

Edgebanding involves the application of finishing tape or solid wood strips to the unfinished edge of a sheet of plywood. Our machine automatically applies , glues , and trims the finished edges of your plywood panels. Machine time is charged at at rate of $.25 per lineal foot. A minimum $20.00 charge will apply . Price breaks for quantities in excess of 200 running feet do apply.

Sanding Boards & Panels

Our 35" wide air driven sanding table provides the ideal way to quickly and uniformly sand your laminated table top , shelving or project lumber. Sanding work is charged on a price per lineal foot basis . Prices include whatever # of passes through the machine are required to complete the work. Lumber is charged at a a rate of $.25 per lineal foot and laminated panels at $.36 per lineal foot. Price breaks for quantities do apply. There is a $17.00 minimum charge.

Finish Planing & Sizing Lumber

When your project peice list calls for exact sizes this work includes straightening (jointing) 1 face & 1 edge before planning (dressing) all 4 sides. This work is charged at a rate of $.35 per lineal foot with a $5.00 minimum charge. Price breaks do apply on quantities over 200 running feet.

Wooden Window Repairs

For those old wooden sash this work will include the labor necessary to replace glass only in up to a 4 lite sash. The scope of this work includes all labor necessary to remove old panes & reglaze and putty new panes. This work is charged on a flat rate of $10.00 per window.

Aluminum Window Repairs

The scope of this work includes includes the labor required to replace glass in most storm windows. This work is charged on a flat rate of $5.00 per window.

Plywood Cutting

Our flat rate charge of $3.00 will provide you with up to 3 cuts per plywood panel.

Custom Millwork

If its made of wood we’re interested in the job. Our hourly rate of $30.00 for custom millwork of any description provides you the manpower , machinery and experience of our finishing carpenters and all they have to offer.
